Quality bags
I've used a lot of different types of food storage bags but the FoodSaver bags are the best yet. The zipper-lock bags tend to break at the corners of the opening and some do poorly in the freezer. Some other brands of heat-seal bags are too stiff and have to be sealed twice to ensure a solid seal. The FoodSaver bags with their pleats allow a better fill, they seal on the first heat and I have had no problems with their becoming brittle in sub-zero freezing. I've found they take a better vacuum than I was able to achieve with other brands and, overall, I'm happier with them than I've been with any other brand or type freezer bags.

Incredible product highly recommend to everyone
The Food Saver and all its product have proven time and time again to be the best investment for a household. I have been using FoodSaver since the early 90's and give it as gifts to everyone in my family. It is easy to use and the expansion of time it keeps food fresh tasting is amazing. I love not having freezer burn on my food and I know that by removing all the air, the life of the product is lengthened. The bags are incredible. I boil, I microwave, and I freeze with them. The new expandable ones come in very handy... I am a hunter and some of the pieces of meat I process are larger than the gallon size bags will hold easily. Thank you for making my life easier. I

Storing dry goods just got simple!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For a long time, I've been storing my large grain and flour sacks in the deep freezer, taking up over half of the bottom storage space.
I love the deep pleats, and am able to seal 5 lbs of flour at a time. I've also used the pleated bags for rice, but since there are so many tiny spaces between rice grains, it's more effective to use the mason jars.
Whole chickens, roasts and even a gallon of chili have all worked beautifully.
I see people have a bit of trouble with the pleats, but they fold inward naturally and I"ve not had one sealing mishap with them.

Not just for Food saving!
I use these bags to store extra clothes/shoes while camping, hiking or canoeing. It keeps the clothes dry and also keeps out bugs, ants and moths. They work best when you vacuum seal most of the air out, but let the bag stay soft and pliable. The space saver bags are too large for a single change of clothes and tend to leak over time. But Foodsaver bags stay sealed. I also keep a change of clothes and a pair of shoes in the basement for weather emergencies. They stay dry and moth free sealed in the FoodSaver expandable bags! Add a dryer sheet for extra freshness.

Horrible Product
I have been a customer of FoodSaver for many years! I use my foodsaver at least once a week. For Christmas I received the FoodSaver® 11" Expandable Heat Seal Rolls, 2-Pack. They are HORRIBLE!!! It's probably one of the worst products you've come out with. We made 8 racks of ribs and these were the bags I had to use. Trying to tuck in the sides and get it correctly in the machine was so frustrating. I ended up wasting more bags than I should have and therefore money is in my trash can. Since my most recent order of bags hasn't shipped yet I was forced to use these. Worst Christmas gift ever!!! And yes I know how to put bags correctly in the machine, these were just really difficult to do.

Great addition to the produce line
I've used this expandable bag only once so far but am very happy to have it available. I made a deep dish rhubarb pie, froze it and then packaged it in the expandable bag. I love being able to see what I have frozen instead of having to use foil. I love being able to make and freeze several pies in season. Before, the 11" bags just weren't wide enough even for an 8" foil pie tin. I can see where this expandable bag will come in handy for whole chickens, large roasts and many other bulky items that couldn't be sealed before.

Money Saver!
This product has been a money saver for this family. We were losing a LOT of hamburger meat before sealing with this product. Now, the hamburger and other meats, have no frostbite, and are fresh. We have ordered more products on line from the Food Saver organization, and have received them in just a couple of days. Very fast shipping when ordering on line. I love my food saver and have used it for things other than food. You won't regret getting this, and I highly recommend the product. In fact, other family members have purchased a Food Saver based on my recommendation.

Awesome (with practice)
My pleated bag experience began with much frustration. Now my frustration is replenishing my stock of them!! From corning a beef, to brining everything from to turkeys to other large items, I'll be lost without these. The key or trick if you prefer is to make the bag quite longer than a conventional bag would be. This gives you the material to hold the end in the original folded pleat position. I position the machine at the edge of my counter.I have a stool that is 12" lower than the counter. I put the bird/beef/etc on the stool. Get the pleat back in folded form, and insert into vac. Just when the vac has extracted enough air to begin drawing the cure/brine/etc I hit the seal button. DONE DEAL. Get this method down and it is child's play! You are ALL welcome.
