Rated 1 out of 5 by from Looks good but didn’t work! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this as gift from my children & grandchildren. They chose this for me so I could prepare meals then individually vacuum seal them to store in freezer. This method would be much better than plastic bowls which develop freezer burn quickly. However, this expensive unit was dead on arrival. Power light or any of the panel lights would not turn on and it just emitted a clicking noise. Also the drip pan was missing which according to previous reviews happens frequently. As a senior, I would have enjoyed this food saver. Needless to say, I had to give the gift back so it could be returned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does all functions and liquids A great product does it all. I purchased because I make lots of stocks and soups. With this liquid feature I do not have to pre freeze and that made storage easier. The unit is easy to use and options are same as the older models. I also like the bag sealing / cutting feature. This is if using a roll you seal the end of the roll. Then pull out the length of the bag you want press the sealing button and as it’s sealing cut the bag off roll and your next bag already has the initial seal made. So if you are storing a product you can ready your bags easier. I very highly recommend this new model especially if you store liquids.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Biggest piece of junk I bought this less than a month ago and all it is, is an expensive piece of junk. There isn’t enough suction on this at all. I used it yesterday for some ground beef and it’s already freezer burned. I just tried chicken and there’s still air in it. I hate that the seal is up so high as well. I’ll go back to the basic extremely cheaper model that worked great until it finally broke. So disappointed! I’m returning it tomorrow.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broke It works, sometimes takes forever to seal and the bag slider that cuts the bags keeps popping up and won’t cut. Now I can’t even get it back in the machine! Wish I would’ve bought the one I originally had.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I mean... It's nice, but not sure it's worth all the money. For what we paid, I'd expect it to suck the chrome off of a tail pipe! haha It doesn't get all the air out of the bags. Could be a user error, but we follow the directions....and still a bit of air in the bags (we'll keep trying). The air tight containers/vacuum seal containers are nice...and that little hand held vacuum sealer works great!

I have been using Foodsaver Vacuum sealers for 25 years started in 1998 and they get better and better,The automatic close and lock and it is also a spacesaver. The ability to do liquid and being able to seal one bag while cuuting the previous one and even an auto shut off. The only complaint I have is that the new one is slower than on old one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from very versatile I haven't been able to try the liquid function yet. I like that it takes up less counter space than my previous 5600 series. I don't like how the bag cutter works with the roll stored on the back, because you have to pull the roll through the lid, seal, pull it the rest of the way and cut it off. When you do this, it pushes down on the lid activating it to seal again before you've filled the bag. So you have to quickly shut it off and proceed with cutting off the bag.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Found the Elite lacking in doing it all. Purchased this product to store pre-cooked chicken legs and thighs for easy access for a special diet. I've found individuals pieces of meats, fish and chicken together in one bag is a real chore as these foods will not lie flat and fall to the bottom of the bag, bunching together. I had a FoodSaver years ago with the sealer lower to the table. Is it necessary to purchase another machine like the one I had before as this Elite All-in-One does not do it all. Shall I return this product to FoodSaver or to point-of-sale purchase?
