Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great upgrades! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned many food savers over the years, but not one with features like this. When you put your bag under the seam, it auto locks. You can vacuum seal your item upright- which is especially helpful for liquids. I used it on fish, and keeping the bag upright prevented any of the juices from leaking out. Generally I'm dealing with a pretty stinky mess. We noticed an improvement in the seal as well from previous versions. The instructions were simple. I watched several short videos to ensure I was using it correctly and everything was laid out easily. I would definitely recommend it.

It comes with some bags included (soup, quart, gallon and roll). When I 1st opened the box i was nervous seeing all of the buttons, and gadgets, but reading the manual it was easy peasy. This machine DOES IT ALL!! It stores the roll of bags in the back, it feeds them through so you can seal them as big or as small as you need them, you can marinate your meats with it as it has a marianter gadget on the right hand side. This is the real deal and i could never be happier, i never again have to worry about freezer burned soups, meat, and i can marinate my meats amd freeze them with no worries!! If i could give a million stars i would!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a product that makes my life much easier, I can store frozen food with the assurance that it will last for a long time and there will also be no unwanted spills. The package includes a roll of vacuum packaging bags regardless of the size of the product and several bags of different sizes for smaller products. The machine can vacuum package and also seals the bag and cuts it. It is very useful, practical and easy to use. I love it and recommend it even for carrying food on long road trips without spills.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Looks good but didn’t work! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this as gift from my children & grandchildren. They chose this for me so I could prepare meals then individually vacuum seal them to store in freezer. This method would be much better than plastic bowls which develop freezer burn quickly. However, this expensive unit was dead on arrival. Power light or any of the panel lights would not turn on and it just emitted a clicking noise. Also the drip pan was missing which according to previous reviews happens frequently. As a senior, I would have enjoyed this food saver. Needless to say, I had to give the gift back so it could be returned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for sous vide [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love using the vacuum food bags for prolonging food. Sous vide is way better and more secure when you use vacuum sealing machine and bags. It prevents the water from coming into the bag and diluting your food. The Food Saver machine is very easy to use. I also use it to seal and reseal my vanilla pods. I like how this machine has the bag holder built into it. The attachment to use the handheld vacuum is great too for sealing cannisters and the bags with the attachment.

My husband works out of town but I love soups, especially as the weather gets colder. I have no clue how to cook for one. I have found that I can make bigger batches of soups, sauces, and chili and freeze them into smaller portions that I can pull out for me when I want it. My biggest issue was trying to freezer pack them. I have another model of Foodsaver that works great for the less “wet” type foods but when I try to seal soups and things like that, the vacuum sucks it all into the air reservoir and it’s a huge mess. This one works awesome though. I can set the mode I want and it vacuums and seals without a huge mess every time. The bag roll stores nicely in the back and feeds through so you can pull what you want, seal and cut! It has a bag detection feature that lets you know you are in the right spot. The hand held accessory is one of the best features for all of the many accessories you can get. Foodsaver has zipper bags, marinating containers, bottle stoppers and other items to make preserving much easier. I do find using this one for the dry goods a little more challenging because I’m a “flat package” type of person and like my sealed packages to lay as flat as possible for storing. I found a cutting board that is just the right height to help me accomplish that now so it’s really not a big deal.

It sucks out all the air from the bags and locks in the yumminess. It’s small, light, and handy. No more crappy bags that let food go bad. The FoodSaver gives you some bags to play with, and the vacuum is so strong it could suck a golf ball through a garden hose. I can keep leftovers that won’t make me sick or sad. I can freeze food and not get ice crystals. The FoodSaver knows when to seal the bags, how to line them up, and can handle liquids like a boss. I can whip up a ton of soup and store it with the FoodSaver Elite All-in-One Liquid+.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Money saver!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am using my food saver for homemade bread, muffins, cupcakes, cookies, cornbread, and chili. I can make this in bulk and save time and money. The Foodsaver forms an airtight seal, so items stay fresh in the freezer. It comes with a starter kit of plastic and bags and is simple to use. I was skeptical but now I don’t know what I would do without it. I am looking forward to using my food saver appliance when we harvest our pecans this year. I always put the shelled pecans in freezer bags, but this year I will have the luxury of using the food saver and freezing them to help preserve them longer.
