Rated 5 out of 5 by bms29 from Love this And I wonder why it took me so long. I've been using Canning Jars for a year now to put almost everything in. Nuts, Seeds, Amaranth, Quinoa, etc. but I wanted to buy some in bulk & wanted to make certain they would stay even fresher so I purchased the large & smaller jar sealers. The 1st time I used this, I wasn't certain if & how it would work - Until a month later & I had a hard time removing the lid - because of the suction this sealer had given the jar. (If you don't know, just leave the top lid on the jar - & not use the screw-on rim lid. - I do put the rim lid on just as a precaution - even when I've canned.) Amazing is all I can say.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mia22 from Works well with handheld sealing systems, too! I bought the wide-mouth jar sealer for use with my handheld vacuum sealing system (I wasn't sure it would work since the website doesn't indicate its compatibility with the handheld systems). You don't need a tube or attachment; you just place the mouth of the handheld device directly against the sealer. When the jar and lid are clean, I always get it working on the first time. The only difficulty I have had is in removing the lid from the jar. I use the spoon method, and I have gotten better at this over the past month. However, I have had a few spills when first starting out. This is a sign that the sealer is doing what it's meant to!

Rated 5 out of 5 by LindaGK from Works easily and beautifully I absolutely love this mason jar sealer. I wish I had bought one many years ago - it would have saved me tons of produce and increased the amount of veggies I was eating. I continue to be amazed by how great this works. My cut celery looks as good as the day it went in, even 2 weeks later. I seal a whole week's worth of salads and they never brown. I have found the jars seem to get too cold for pre-sliced or cut tomatoes, but everything else has kept well. I would recommend this to anyone who is currently tossing veggies gone bad. My friend uses it to seal just about everything she can think of from nuts to (frozen) soup.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nanny19456 from This is the quickest way to keep dry goods I have had a food saver for years. I would recommend it to every person who wants to save money. It freezes in bags that keep your Food till ready to thaw and use. I love the way you can fix salads sans dressing for a week. The fruit in season will last a Couple of weeks. Best of all I love the fact that I can dry seal, flours, rice, beans of all kinds, pastas, nuts, chocolates, sugars, nuts, silverware, candies, powdered milk, valuable documents and just about anything you need to keep dry. Use the sealed jars, using the amount you need and resealing again. I can't say enough about not wasting, saving time, usable products that are a seal away . Thanks

Rated 5 out of 5 by Fuzzmom from Great tried and true accessory! I have had a food savor for almost 30 years. I bought my first one at the LA County Fair in So Cal and have continued to update since then. This is one of my all time favorite pieces of equipment! I live in a very old homestead house, so keeping my foodstuffs sealed and safe from critters can sometimes be a challenge, but with this Jar Sealer, I can store all types of foods safely in Mason Jars! Very economical! If I want to save the recipes or directions off the packaging, I just tape them to the jar. I could live without a lot of fancy kitchen devices, but never without my FoodSavor and Jar sealer attachment!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by DJ69 from Works very well Have used this product for several months and it works very well. In all but one case, unit sealed the large mouth jars the first time. In the one case where we used it on a 1/2 pint jar, it would not seal until we took a queue from the reviews of the small mouth sealer. We used three lids, and it sealed on the first try. It was clear to us that the neck on the 1/2 pint jar was not deep enough to allow the sealer to seat properly. Also purchased the small mouth sealer at same time. This has also sealed its jars on the first try in all but one case. In that case, we used the two-lid trick to get a seal on the first try.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Reliable from Food Saver & Accessories My last purchase was for a large jar seal for the vacuum lid. The old one lasted so long I truly do not remember the date. I have use Food Saver Vacuum system for at least thirty years and feel it should be a household item the same as a coffee maker. The price you pay for the system up front to accessories there after more than pay for themselves. Veggies, cold cuts and so much more last 3 to 5 times longer in the refrigerator as well as bagging meats for the freezer to prevent freezer burn and defrost as close to fresh for frozen meat weeks and months later. If you truly want to save ( BIG ) money you will buy any of these products.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Fed up with CYA corps from Incomplete Item Description To clarify Foodsavers incomplete item description. They do not include a hose! My vacuum sealer, bought years ago, assumed you would only need the hose if you bought the jar sealer. Current jar sealer orders apparently assume you already have the hose. You have to buy the hose separately - at additional cost, if you buy individual jar sealers. If you buy the combo pack with wide mouth and regular, it comes with a hose, adding to the confusion. Apparently Foodsaver couldn't be bothered to clarify this in the product description or emails requesting a missing hose. But a 30 minute call to a third party call center cleared it right up! SMH.
