Rated 5 out of 5 by lionkng05 from Really does keep food fresher I rate this product overall as 5 stars, even though the lids can require a little oompf to get off once the vacuum seal is released. The reasons I provided 5 stars are: They hold up well. No staining (even when reheating spaghetti), no dishwasher detergent melted white spots, no residual smells (even after garlic. They do what they say they will do, keep your food fresher longer. * I did receive this product as a sample to review, however I would purchase again. And will be adding more containers soon. * [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by Janice77 from Better than expected! I added this to my growing number of Foodsaver containers a couple of weeks ago and it exceeded my high expectations. The new containers seem sturdier than my previous ones. With only two of us, berries especially get soft and are thrown out. With the first use and filling it to the max with strawberries, not one was discarded. With daily use and resealing after each use, the berries stayed firm. Green beans did just as well. My 5 cup container does just as well with blueberries or anything else I have tried. I will be purchasing more for my weekly Farmer's Market purchases. They will pay for themselves in a short time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by 370ZZTOP from Foodsaver Fresh Container I have been using Foodsaver vacuum sealers for many years. I am now using the third machine that I have owned. I like using the standard vacuum bags for freezer and long term storage. However, I prefer to use the vacuum containers for things used on a more frequent basis and for things kept in the refrigerator. I have a few of the older designed containers as well as a few different sizes of these new design Foodsaver Fresh containers. I use them on an almost daily basis and they make owning a Foodsaver vacuum sealer machine even more useful. I am impressed with their ability to extend the life of fresh fruit and vegetables in particular.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Carla2010 from Great product! The Food Saver containers worked great. They easily went from fridge to microwave to dishwasher. The clear plastic allows you to see the food inside so the containers don't need to be opened to check on the food. The seal held tight and the pop-in button made it easy to see when the vacuum seal was done. They are a little tough to open when the seal is released, but overall, great containers. I received a sample of this product to test and it did not disappoint! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by ducknut from won't hold a seal the first one I received would not work at all and it was replaced without any problems (great customer service) the replacement only works for about 24 hours, sometimes. Most of the time it only holds about 30 minutes [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by Ultimate Consumer33 from Skip purchasing containers I have watched their video many times , read their directions multiple times and even viewed QVC’s live demostration on how to seal the containers and it has all been in vain. There is nothing in the gasket to imped the seal, all four corners have been firmly pushed down, all air has been removed because the machine has shut off yet the seal last less then a day. IMHO the containers are not worth purchasing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Believe Me from Toughest yet!!!!! The 8 cup containers are the best size for storage of cookies and crispy snakes, where you will be opening at least once a day. To avoid cracks in all FoodSaver containers do not use the Canister button on your FoodSaver vacuum control, hold the pulse button until you hear a higher tone from the vacuum pump and stop. Hand wash these containers only, the hot water in any dishwasher will deform the very thin material used in all FoodSaver container vacuum valves.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SFC Chris from Yum My wife loves these 8 quarts containers because she can make huge batches of her southern cooking that she can snack on and off then reseal. In the photo that is her black eyed peas plus okra but you will notice there is no hot corn bread for the fact that is the first to go with a slab of butter. What I did learn is if you store warm items you shoul let them cool first in the fridge then you should have no problem sealing the canisters.RTR/WDE
