Rated 5 out of 5 by Like2eat from Marinator - Really has a positive affect Today I marinated some lamb chops, the kind that look like little T-Bone steaks with olive oil, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning and put half in a Food Saver bowl and the other half sat on the cutting board. After 30 minutes, I grilled them equally and served them to my kids. I told them that the left and right side of the serving dish was different and both kids said that the ones that were marinated in the Food saver bowl were more tender and better tasting than those on the "left" side that were not. Although not perfectly scientific, I think that I will use the food saver marinator bowl in the future. I hope you experience is as positive as mine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LadyElk from Exceptional Product! I love mine, have used it probably 30 times already, I did have my large round canister crack, (after about 20 seals), an e-mail to customer service not only got me a fast response, they were sweet enough to replace the product almost just as fast. Product evolution is an ever changing process, *Foodsaver is a fantastic product line, with an impeccable reputation both for it's products, and service. I am a firm believer in 'seasoning' all my containers, by sealing them right out of the box for at least a week before using them.and I avoid washing them with anything but luke warm water and then turn upside down on the dish drainer... (just food for thought)

Rated 5 out of 5 by Salvato56 from the best item of all the canaster products Basically I love all of the Food saver products, but over all the marinator hes turned out to be the most virsital it works so well as a 15 minute maranator but has such a great capacity for leftovers and it seals so well. I use it for almost everything i store in the refrigerator. It would be slightly better if it were stack-able without reducing its size. Overall magnificent product. Any of the other larger canisters i have had issues with cracking at the bottom when dropped on the counter strait out of the refridgerator so I use them for dry non refridgarated food storage. Food Saver makes great products Thanks Paul Salvato Tewksbury Massachusetts 01876

Rated 4 out of 5 by MacDaddyDC from works great I waited awhile to post a review because I wanted some real-world experience before I said ' it sure looks nice." I've used the marinater at least 30 times now and am very pleased with its performance. The only very small knock I have is the cleaning instructions calling for water only to clean the top and seal, I put raw meat in there and simply am not comfortable with mere water. Other than that slight blip, I'd not only recommend this to friends and family, I may just buy another for the convenience of preparing larger amounts of food at the same time (like for family gatherings). My advice, buy one. You won't regret it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TerryV from Excellent Accessory! Absolutely love this! I had a marinator for a couple of years and only used it for storage. Then I saw a demo on how to use it. Felt stupid, really easy to use. Well, it's now used several times a week for marinating. Started with Salmon (used a lemon pepper marinade), grilled on the BBQ and turned into an absolutely wonderful, tasteful dinner! Went on from there...steaks, chicken, seafood. Most marinating takes 4 hrs to overnight in the refrigerator. Have done it that way previsously. Not any more. I found the marinating done by the vacuum better than the traditional way, and it only takes about 20 minutes. Highly, highly recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rubberweasel from Marination I recently purchased the marinating container because i like to grill a lot, and wanted to step up my game on the Bbq. This product is really easy to use and is built very well. Using this product for the first time, i didn't really know what to expect. I usually just put my meats in a bag with the marinade and vacuum seal them and let them sit over night in the ice box. I must say that i am greatly impressed. it cut my marinating time down from over night to 10 minutes. The steaks that i used were lower quality and they still came out "melt in your mouth" perfect. I just wish that they made a larger size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ziniti from Nice product I've had this product for several years and like it very much. It has a heavier than usual thickness compared to other FoodSaver containers. It stands up better. It is easy to use. The size is great. I often use it for left overs. It does marinate, but it's a great container, too. It's flaws are that it can't be used in the microwave and you really can't take it and go, to a party for instance. The lid doesn't lock without the vacuum sealing.. I would like to be able to take it from the refrigerator to the microwave to heat up leftovers or to a party with snacks or...... Maybe the next generation?????

Rated 5 out of 5 by FDee from Great Steak!! We do steaks on the grill often and we have experimented with many diffterent marinades on them. Well we have found that only putting cracked black pepper and sea salt on each side really taste great and there are no flame ups on the grill. So when I received the marinating dish I wasn't sure if it would do anything to the taste since I wasn't using a wet marinade. I used the marinating dish and they sat in the fridge for maybe 30 minutes then I took them out to let them come to room tempature. The outcome was awesome. Although we only used the sea salt and cracked black pepper you could taste the seasoning throughout the entire piece of meat. I can't wait to use it on pork and chicken.
